Day 11
In your own space, talk about a creator. Show us why you think they are amazing. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

And

Day 12

In your own space, post a rec for fannish spaces and resources - comms, challenges, twitters, tumblrs, etc. Tell us about where you hang out. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

I didn’t do Day 11 on the day because I couldn’t come up with what I was to write until I had gone to bed. And then came day 12 and it overlapped with my idea so much I thought it suitable to make them into one post.

I’d like to make a shout-out to the awesome people who run a couple of communities I have had great fun in the last couple of years. I’m in awe of your hard work to create an interesting community with a friendly atmosphere!

[livejournal.com profile] dancingdragon3 who runs [livejournal.com profile] myth_fan

A community for fans of myths, fairy/folk tales, and urban legends in classic and modern media.

And also [livejournal.com profile] terror_scifi

A community for gothic, sci-fi, fantasy, and horror appreciation.

[livejournal.com profile] misura who runs [livejournal.com profile] fandom_of_one

A community for pimping out your favorite teeny-tiny fandoms to other interested fen.

And for more specific fandoms;

[livejournal.com profile] paynesgrey who runs [livejournal.com profile] who_contest, a challenge community for Doctor Who.

Every other two weeks, we'll alternate drabble and one-shot challenges with a variety of themes. Drabble (or more appropriately, short fic) challenges will vary in maximum word counts under 700 words. One-shot challenges will always be 250 words or more.

[livejournal.com profile] lost_spook who runs [livejournal.com profile] dw_guestfest

The ficathon for minor/guest characters from any part of the Doctor Who universe!

[livejournal.com profile] bleodswean who rund [livejournal.com profile] verbis_diablo

A Penny Dreadful comm. for anything Penny Dreadful; fic, meta, icons, fan art, fanvids, discussions, fanon, canon. Everyone is welcome!

Apart from that I hang around on AO3 under the nick Dancingsalome. I cross-post to FF.net out of habit- it was my firt fanfiction archive after all, but I rarely go there to read fics. I also post my Doctor Who-fic at A Teaspoon and An Open Mind.

I do a couple of fic-exchanges, all of them multi-fandom: Yuletide, Chocolate Box, The Darkest Night, Rare Pair Fest and Remix Redux
