You don't sound whiny at all!! a lot of my own fiction gets glossed over or overlooked because of the genres I write in, so I feel your pain here. A lot of my friends are very kind, but I'm not a popular writer to begin with, so I've learned to handle my feelings on that.

Unpopular pairings...don't really exist in DW. In fact, quite a few old schoolers may come across your fic and be relieved, ecstatic and delighted! I hope they find you soon. DW...it can take a while to get a foothold, but once you do --
