Series watching

Husband and I just watched the first episodes of Agent Carter and then Dig. AC was instant love, Dig a bit peculiar, but interesting. And I’m a huge Jason Isaacs fan and was quite pleased to see him naked, even from just the back. I’m also catching up on Outlander. I like it a lot, which is a bit at odds with the fact that I don’t care much for the first book and the rest of them not at all. (That I have read, I completely lost interest a third into the fourth one.) And Penny Dreadful is back and Orphan Black as well. I have a huge penchant for classic horror books/movies and I think PD is terrific. And OP is fantastic! I’m constantly forgetting that it is just Tatiana Maslany who plays all the clones. Especially when she is doing a clone imitating another clone and she plays that differently from how she plays a clone being herself.

Do you watch any of these? WHat do you think of them?

Oh we have quite a few in common!

AC I feel a bit torn about. I don't like that there's only one female protagonist (and then one villain). But it has a nice period feel to it.

OB I love too! Maslany is very talented. It does feel like they had an extremely low budget for this though - shame, it could easily have gone from OK to great with a bit of better acting (Felix is just not that good an actor) and more background.

I'll look into dig - I have far too many TV series on now though!

Are you into Game of Thrones? that's one of my favourites out there at the moment.

I've only seen the first episode, but very male dominated, yes. But I loved Agent Carter and the clothes and settings.

I actually know a guy who behaves and sounds exactly like Felix, so he doesn't bother me much. :) And I kind of like the grittiness, but then I'm used to Swedish television who never has enough budget... :)

No, I must confess to not getting GoT at all. I thought I would, but somewhere halfway through the first episode I picked up a random book and started to read and didn't even notice when it ended... Well, we all have different visual taste buds. :)

Also, Dig is worth the first episode for Isaacs alone, with or without clothes. He's clearly the star and seems to enjpy his character. :)
