OMFG. ♥ Poor, poor Alison. Her grief was perfectly portrayed here, the shock, the numbness, how she felt quite unable to grieve, and her guilt over that as well as not having realized the state Peter had been in. Perfect manipulation from the Master. ♥ And he was needed more than ever as she just couldn't deal with anything at all, and had no one but her sister, who was quite easy for him to manipulate and couldn't really protect her much.

Alison's shocking realization was also very nicely handled, with how quickly her mind was spinning all of a sudden, her being able to picture so vividly how everything had unfolded. And her knowing she was helpless and no one could believe her, yearning to run away, but knowing she couldn't do that, either—until, in a rush of desperation, she just tried the ultimate escape, tried to join Peter and end it all. Yet the Professor was there once again to forcefully drag her back to the living. The ending was CHILLING. His calm and pleasant demeanour, yet the burning, his touching her chest and how intensely wrong the simple touch felt—after he had just caused her husband's death, and he touched her absolutely like he owned her, like she was his thing to be handled as he pleased, not even a human being for which such a touch could be considered as abuse. Like she belonged to him and it wasn't even a question. And the choking even as he told her she was not to take her own life, and threatening her sister. Even the fact that he sends her away with Janice is humiliating, like she is his toy to move around once more, and he isn't even feeling that territorial and wanting her by his side, he has more urgent business to think about but he wants to have her at hand when the fancy will take him. All of this is just so cruel. Very last detail of the abuse is perfectly fitting. So, so well done.
