I'm a Grinch purist and my favorite remains the original cartoon with Boris Karloff doing the narration and Thurl Ravenscroft singing "You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch" and Chuck Jones animating Doctor Seuss. (Fun fact: Thurl Ravenscroft was the voice of Tony the Tiger in the old cereal commercials.)

I'll second Hogsfather. I'm not sure how much it would mean to someone unfamiliar with the Discworld universe, but it made me happy.
