Some artists mean more for you than others, and I have been wanting to play Rickard Wolff for you since he died in November 2017. But it has felt a bit raw, which is why it comes now. He was a Swedish singer and actor, made famous as the sexually ambiguous Zac in a very good Swedish movie called house of Angels in 1992. He was one of the first Swedish celebrities who came out as homosexual, in a time when homophobia was so much worse than it is now. Hom coming ut was certainly one of the reasons the general attitude towards homosexuality changed in Sweden during the 90’s.
He was a wonderful performer; I saw his Recital on stage, and it moved me to tears. He performed both his own songs, but also a number of French chansons. Even if the songs I’ve chosen here are in Swedish and French, I think you can enjoy him anyway.
