Oh, I grew up reading Isaac Asimov and lots of other sci-fi authors, along with Star Trek. Our high school English teacher took us across the street on a field trip to see Star Wars when it first came out way back when... she actually did use it as fodder for teaching about how good/evil are portrayed, use of names, use of color, etc. (Funny how "evil" is so spotlessly clean!)

I wasn't really exposed much to Doctor Who until I was an adult as it was on way too late when I was younger. When Netflix finally added it in, I went on a binge and have been there ever since! I just adore the TARDIS, she's got personality (like the Falcon)!

Then again, I also read lots of astronomy and math for fun...
