Yuletide

So much for getting some WIP’s out of the way before Yuletide- the assignments are already out. At least I managed to finish my Versailles-fic. My assigment looks good and I feel confident I will be able to write something acceptable. All my nomination had offers, which surprised me a little, as at least one if extremely obscure. I know this doesn’t mean I will get fic, but it’s nice to know the possibility is there.

I’ve checked out the fandoms I’m interested in writing in, and I’m sure I will manage to write Treats too. Of course, some fandoms (I’m looking at you Versailles) has favourite characters/pairings I have no interest in writing at all. I never seem to be interested in the mainstream favourites in any fandom. Sometimes I think it would be nice to have someone to squee together with.

That is me with Black Sails: I only know one other person liking my favorite and I don't know them personally. And the juggernaut ships are so very meh. :/

Great to hear that you got a good assignment for the exchange. And weren't they done with that quickly this time around?

I'm reviewing canon for my assignment and making notes on treats that I want to write for at least two others. Glad that the assignments came out so early when I have more free time to plot and write!

Congrats on the writing you've gotten done. I'm waiting to get further into Versailles before I read it, as I'm not even sure who Fabien is yet, lol.

On our mutual lack of enthusiasm for leads - I guess I'm lucky in that when I don't like a major pairing or character, the minor one I adopt also usually has their own following, even if I have to go Tumblr to find them, ha. Or I'm so under my rock, I don't even know who other people like or don't.
