Yuletide

Yuletide is coming and I have decided to sign up again. I missed it a lot last year, but I don’t think I would have bern able to go through it. But noe I do, and nominations will open soon, and I’m dithering on which to choose. Almost certainly All About Eve and Gwendoline Courtney’s Elizabeth and the Garrett Theatre. But then I have a soft spot for Ivanhoe, Deadwood, Elizabeth Kostova’s The Historian and The Mummy. It’s not unlikely Deadwood and The Mummy will be nominated by others, but it still gives me two fandoms to chose from.

Oh, yeah, The Mummy is one I love for Yuletide. I should add that to my list of potential things for me to nominate; it is one that other people generally do, but I'd hate to assume that and then it not be there. Choices choices choices.

All About Eve? The movie or the play?

The movie. I haven't seen the play.

I had to drop out last year, when my father was in his final months and taking all my energy and attention. Realistically, having the time to refamiliarize myself with a canon is unlikely. But I am going to look out for Deadwood prompts and possibly write some treats.
