What I am reading Wednesday
Jun. 17th, 2015 07:48 amWhat I am reading now: Clouds of Witness by Dorothy L. Sayers, and A Private Disgrace by Victoria Lincoln.
What I have finished reading: Vernon House by Sandra Farris. Ghost story about a woman who builds a house and finds a letter that indicates that a previous owner has been murdered, about 100 years earlier. I could say a lot about this book, but I won’t. Let’s just say that I can’t recommend it.
Facts Concerning the Late Arthur Jermyn and His Family by H. P. Lovecraft. A short story about a man who finds out that his great-great grandmother was something else than human. rather disturbing story about evolution going backwards and some unsavoury views on inheriting the sins of the father (or mother).
What I will be reading next: Unnatural Death by Dorothy L. Sayers.
He by H. P. Lovecraft.
What I have been watching: Orphan Black and Penny Dreadful, of course, both approaching their finales. I’m so, so happy that there will be a next season for both of them, these are easily my favourite series right now.
Husband and I have binge-watched season 6 of Doctor Who and just has one episode left. This is easily my favourite season when it comes to Eleven.
Dig is a bit of a slow go, it has some topics that makes it hard to watch, but I like it. And lots of Jason Isaacs without a shirt, which can only be good.
We have also started with Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrel. A lot less complex than the book, of course, but the casting is stellar as if the filming and the costumes. If I have one complaint, then it is that we don’t get enough insight in Stephen, which, considering what happens to him, seems a bit odd. But apart from that, I love it!
