AN: AN: This is a sequel to a story I wrote called Clara. I do think it can be read anyway, but perhaps you will enjoy it more if you read Clara first. This is a vampire story and though it fits into the fandom of The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova, the myth of Dracula is so universal that you don’t have to read that book to enjoy this story. The characteristics of Kostova’s Dracula are making the myth Dracula the same as the real Dracula, a singularly unpleasant Wallachian prince named Vlad Tepes in the late 15th century. That is an idea that has been touted before Kostova wrote her excellent book. More unique is making her Dracula a lover of history and scholarly research. And these things are what I have borrowed for my fanfic.

Special thanks to my dear friend M who reads, comments and cheers me on

Summary: A young librarian is unfortunate enough to attract the attention of Dracula.

AN: The last chapter- it was long coming, I know. I must confess that I have had separation anxieties here. I like Clara and I'm sorry to see her go. I hope you will enjoy it!

Summary: A young librarian is unfortunate enough to attract the attention of Dracula.

AN: Long time no chapters. As always there is the matter of time to write it down- the story has been finished in my mind for a long time. I have been asked when this story takes place, which I admit isn't very clear. In my mind it's the late 50's. I found it a bit funny when I very recently started to watch Mad Men and found that Joanie's relationship with her fiancé Fred to be quite close to Clara's to her Fred. Even more so as Joanie (Christina Hendricks) actually comes quite close to how I visualize Clara- only Clara's hair is dark. So, here it is the next to last chapter, I hope you will enjoy it

Waiting

Title: Waiting
Rating: R-ish, for theme
Category: Horror
A/N: Fanfic based on The Historian by Kostova. I found her Dracula a compelling creature, but that he could have been in the book somewhat more. I was waiting for some kind of face to face interaction between him and the young heroine, but it never happened. So, this little fic is just what I think Dracula may have thought about her.

Title: One Should Always Finish What One Has Started
Pairing: Dracula/Anonymous female, sort of.
Rating: PG-13
Category: Horror, I suppose, though not particularly scary.
A/N: This little story was born out of a dream I had after finishing The Historian by Elisabeth Kostova. But you don't have to have read the book to read this- it's enough if you are just familiar with vampire-lore in general.

This is not beta-ed, so if you spot a mistake, please don't hesitate to tell me.
