ruuger 1. What's the largest fandom you've ever been part of?Doctor Who. I’ve been on the fringes of Harry potter too, but I was never feeling involved in it, as I am with Who.
2. What's the smallest fandom you've ever been part of?Well, I guess that depends on how you count “being part of”. I have plenty of fandoms where I have written one or two fics, and some of those are very small. But I haven’t been overly involved in the fandom. But if I take a fandom I have written more than one fic, and also been actively discussing and thinking about, then it must be Elizabeth Kostova’s
The Historian. AO3 have 11 fics- and I’ve written four of them.
3. What's your oldest fandom love?Well, before i knew there was such a thing as fandom and fanfic; LOTR. I read, and reread everything Tolkien over and over between the ages 8-18, made fanart and made up stories in my head. The frist when I actually started to write fanfic was Peter Pan.
4. What's your newest fandom love?Versailles, which was a complete surprise. In general I have low tolerance of historical TV-series- I know too much about history and way too much about historical fashion. I can make quite a list of shows I could only stomach half an episode of. But somehow
Versailles despite its inaccuracies, manages to not only be ok to watch, but also grips me more than I have ever expected. It’s not without faults, but I enjoy it enormously.
5. Do you mainly read/write/draw/vid Gen, M/F, F/F or M/M?I mainly write het. About half as many are gen-fics, and then a handful each of M/M and F/F. when it comes to reading it’s probably a lot more even, though I prefer to not read explicit M/M or F/F.
6. If you ship, are you more of a OTP, Little Black dress or multi-shipper type of shipper?Multi-shipper. I have favourite pairings, of course, but almost all of them I enjoy in a gen-setting too. My like my favorite pairings to interact, and it doesn’t have to be any romance involved.
7. What's your favourite genre/type of story?I used to say darkfic, but it isn't really true anymore. I like dark and angsty still, but I also really like humorous and lighthearted fic. I think I’m more particular about the things which makes me steer away from a fic, than what makes me gravitate towards it. Possibly because what I like are generally pairings/fandoms where the pool of fics are so small I read just about everything there are.
8. What rating do you prefer your stories to be?I’ve never thought about that, but when checking the majority of my fics are for all ages, or teens. There is a good sprinkling of mature and explicit fics too, and even more of those that isn’t public anymore. I started out writing almost exclusively sexually explicit fics, but a lot of that was me working through my sexuality, and I don’t feel the need to that anymore. So nowadays I may plan a fic to be explicit, and then decide as I go I don’t think the fic needs it.
I rarely look at rating when I read fics. I check out the warnings, but not the rating.
