What I have been reading Wednesday
Apr. 19th, 2017 12:09 pmI need to remember to not read more by Amy Cross. I like ghost stories and the blurbs are interesting, but they never deliver. The Bride of Ashbyrn House has a mad and nasty ghost, and a rather unsympathetic main character. Don’t read it.
I liked Silent Child by Sarah A Denzil better. The premise was interesting, though rather hard to read. A little boy disappears and is presumed dead, only to return ten years later, traumatized into silence. The story is told from the perspective of his mother, and the beginning when the family struggle with the new situation. But it ended up with much too much, with no less than three psychopathic characters, not necessarily with a connection between them.
