I bounced off Ashes to Ashes on first viewing, I'm afraid -- but a lot of that had to do with the fact that my two favorite characters were Sam and Annie, the two who weren't in the new series. Also that while Sam had the awkward encounters with mum, dad, and aunt, that was just three episodes, rather than Alex hanging about her mum awkwardly all first season. Come to think of it, I might therefore have liked seasons 2 and 3 better.
