9 – Pairings – For each of the fandoms from day two, what are your three favorite pairings to write?

Isn’t three pairings a bit much? I don’t have three for all the fandoms I have written in.

Peter Pan. Captain Hook/Wendy Darling, Captain Hook/Mrs. Darling and captain Hook/Tinker Bell

Doctor Who. Difficult. The only pairing I feel strongly for is the Doctor/the Master, but I’ve only written a short fic that touches this. However, whenever I write the Master paired with someone else, I always write with the view that the person the Master really wants to get at is the Doctor, regardless of form. I can’t say I have real favourite, but the pairings I’ve had the most fun writing was the Curator/Sarah Jane Smith, Ainley!Master/Sarah Jane Smith and Delgado!Master/Lis shaw.

Sleepy Hollow. The Hessian/Mary van Tassel and that’s it.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Willy Wonka/Mr. Bucket

The Historian/Dracula. Dracula/anyone, really.

Harry Potter. Lucius Malfoy/Luna Lovegood

Penny Dreadful. Sir Malcolm Murray/Vanessa Ives

The Mummy. Imhotep/Evy

Pirates of the Caribbean. None, actually.

Buffy/Angel. The only fic I have written doesn’t really have a pairing, but I have a half written one with Giles/Willow.

It started out as a request fic and I found I enjoyed playing out their personalities against each other. It's not really a romance, though and not very happy either.

It can be hard to have three pairings, can't it? Except for me in the Buffyverse because... so many possibilities!

It really depends on the size of the fandom too. I mean, Buffy, or for that matter Harry Potter and Doctor Who has a huge cast, so one can pair up people a lot. Peter Pan, on the other hand, only have a handful of people to choose from. :)
