Well, now I have seen the first episode and I can tell you I'm a happy bunny!

Really, really loved the scene on the square with Missy and Clara. Yes, of course the Master is the Doctor's best friend. And I laughed out loud when Missy pointed at the couple with the dog and said "Puppy".

As the First Doctor was the first Doctor, I guess Missy's lie was when the Doctor was a little girl. Now I want to know about the Presiden't wife...

I'm not that keen on Daleks, but I loved how the Doctor was the one who created Davros. Loved the scary hands too- a nod, I believe, at least partly, to A Trial of A Time Lord.

Did I mention that I love Missy?

Now I have a lot of backreading to do of my f-list.

Yay! I loved the scary hands, too. Well, and I liked the whole Dalek-Davros plot (GASPED OUT LOUD when bb Davros said his name); I have a major soft spot for the Daleks ever since Rose first met them in S1. And any excuse to drag past-Doctor footage into the story is a good excuse as far as I'm concerned.

Missy and Clara were both on fire this episode; it was a terrific start to the series. I hope Missy just keeps coming back to life and have every confidence that she will; she was shot too abruptly and she's TOO DAMN BRILLIANT not to. <3

Oh, she will- the Master never dies! And she spoofed herself with saying death are for other people. There is an episode when Ainley!Master inexplicably returns from being dead and when he is called out on it he just shrugs and says; "I'm indstructible, the whole universe knows that." :D

I always suspected (ever since the Fourth ruminated on who created Davros), that he may have done...he just didn't know it. Thank you, Moffat, for being on my ceiling, reading my unconcious brain. It makes for great tv, lol!!

I finally caught up. I really liked the first scene -super creepy, and great twist. I adored everything to do with Missy. And I don't think they are dead in any way.

The only part I thought was weird was the middle in the arena? place. That bit went on for too long.

I didn't realize it was a two parter.

Yes, I agree, the arena scene was a bit too long.

I'm sure they are not dead. Well, if they are, then I'm sure the Doctor will find a way to change that. :)
