This is my first Yuletide ever. I’m both excited and terrified.

I have wished for characters that I really like to see interact, but that interaction may be gen or het, both are equally desirable. I’m not very keen on slash though. Any rating is fine. I usually only wish for one or two character, but if you want to bring in more, then do so, unless I have explicitly stated that it is a character I don’t like.

I’m fond of missing scenes and epilogues. I also like AUs where what-if’s are explored. Bittersweet romances. Introspection fics. Funny fics where the character banter or snark at each other are fine as well.

But my main fandom highs comes from angst and darkfics, happy endings optional. Mind control, manipulation, non-con, dub-con, psychological sadism and BDSM are all welcome. I do like a proper grounding for them, though, not just thrown in for the sensation. I also like when the personal consequences from traumatic experiences are explored. Minor violence is ok. I have a huge thing for fictional bad guys.

I don’t like: Character bashing, or character’s suddenly changing personalities. A good character may go darker or an evil one nicer, but then I like to have a good reason for that change. Modern AU’s. Fluffy romance.

I’m totally squicked by: Amputation, body horror, cannibalism blood play, wet, scat, child abuse, medical experimentation, torture, incest, animal abuse, mpreg and too gory violence.

Penny Dreadful (TV)

This is very much the TV-show I have been waiting for all my life. I adore Victorian horror novels and I also have a penchant for old horror movies. Penny Dreadful is visually stunning and have so many interesting characters. But I especially love the relationship between Vanessa Ives and Sir Malcolm Murray. I ship them and as long as it isn’t explicitly said in the show, I don’t see them as father and daughter. However, I would be happy with a gen fic where that kind of relation is explored.

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell - Susanna Clarke

A fascinating multi-level book with so many interesting characters that I just want more from. I would enjoy seeing the further development of Arabella’s and Lady Pooles friendship, for example, or what happened to them in the Gentleman with the Thistledown Hair’s palace. I adore Childermass in any shape and form, though I casually ship him with Lady Poole.

Outlander (TV)

Well, simply put; I crush on Dougal, bad as he is. So, anything Dougal, preferably with a lady.

Deadwood

I have always had a soft spot for Swearengen and I always liked it when he interacted with Alma. I would love something that explored their differences but still ended with them finding common ground.

Ivanhoe - Walter Scott

Rebecca of York has been one of my favourite heroine since I was five. However, I don’t like Wilfred of Ivanhoe at all. I would like to see a glimpse of her life after the book. I would also like to see her interact with just about any character in the book, just not with Ivanhoe.

Vorkosigan Saga - Lois McMaster Bujold

Bujold is one of my favourite authors ever. I would be happy with anything from this fandom, but not, funnily enough, darkfics. Angst is fine, though.
