I'm in need of some beauty tonight. So here is some treats for those who commented on my Trick or Treat post. I have chosen to give you treats made by Swedish, or Sweden based artists, in the hope that they may be new and exiting for you. I did take a peek on your interest lists, but I couldn't always found something matching there. I hope you will like the pictures anyway!

Gets a painting by John Bauer (1882-1918), most famous for his fairy tales illustrations.

Gets a John Bauer as well.

An illustration by Hans Arnold (1925-2010), for the horror story called Gabriel-Ernest by Saki.

Ges a picture of Sweden's most brilliant burlesque star, Fraulein Frauke. I know her slightly, she's a lovely person who runs a brillaint club, which is the only club I ever visit. The photo is taken by her husband, Jean Paul Bichard.

The Swedish poster for the silent movie Gösta Berling's Saga, starring Greta Garbo.

Gets another John Bauer, because I love this artist so much.

Gets a horror kitty by Hans Arnold. It is Halloween after all.

Gets a painting by Ivar Arosenius (1878-1909) called Evil Forces.

Gets two versions of The Dying Dandy by Nils Dardel (1888-1943). Dardel, who was bisexual, made the water colour showing the dandy dying among young men, but the finished version features several women instead.

And as a bonus to all of you, this fairy tale illustration by Einar Norelius (1900-1985). I thought it was so scary when I was five!

Thank you for my treat! I genuinely think it's the best:) Nice to see the poster for Gosta Berling's Saga too. Made me want to watch Asta Nielsen which is a tad confused!
