Summary: In the aftermath of the Escobaran invasion, an honorable man spirals toward self-destruction while a not-so-honorable one conspires to save him.
Why I rec it: Simon Illyan is one of my favourite character in the Vorkosigan books and I thoroughly enjoyed getting a glimpse of his view of Aral and Cordelia in Shards of Honor. And I love the hint that Piotr Vorkosigan might, just possibly might, had something to do with why Cordelia ended up on Barrayar.
