A cat! At least one of mine. To quote Prince george in Blackadder; “As far as I'm concerned life is a big palace full of food, drink, and comfy sofas.” Which pretty much sums up their life. And spending the summers on an island in the archipelago.

Oh yes, me too, me too! Especially on days when I'm not feeling happy with my life or work, I often gaze longingly at my cat and think, I wish I could be him. Days filled with nothing but sleeping, eating, drinking, playing and getting petted and cuddled -- sounds pretty good to me. (Of course, being a stray cat in say, Egypt would be a lot less appealing.)

No, that wouldn’t be much fun. One of our cats used to live with my friend C, but she didn’t get along with their dog and she also had to go out for toilet and she hates being outside. C lives in the countryside and have a very small house, so the cats are expected to be outside all day. Not that they are without shelter, there is a covered veranda with a small cover lined with sheepskin, so the cats can have it very cosy. But Sheera hatred it and demonstrated it by sitting outside the kitchen window so C could see and pity her. And there she sat, more or less the whole day, even in pouring rain. When she could have been asleep on the veranda...

Cats are the absolute best! This is the first time in my life I haven't lived with one :-( But, being one would be great. I often wonder why werewolves are so popular, but you hardly ever see feline shifters. But I apparently need a kitty icon, lol.

We have four cats. There used to be five as when husband and I started to co-habit he had three and I two. The plan is to not get any new ones and let them deciamte by age until we have two.

I may be wrong, but I think there are were-leopards in Africa and were-panthers in South America. So my guess is that Europé is lacking in large felines, which is why we don't have that tradition here. There is the Lynx, of course, but I'm not sure how widespread it is outside Scandinavia and it is a pretty shy feline too.

One always need a kitty icon!
