[livejournal.com profile] flirting asked: What is your all time favorite book?

Ooooh, that is so hard to answer. But if I have to settle for one, then it would be Gaudy Night by Dorothy L. Sayers. I read it for the first time when I was fourteen, didn’t understand half it, but loved dit nevertheless. SInce then it’s been one of my constant re-reads.

I love Gaudy Night too! There's so much to it, it really benefits from a re-read, doesn't it? Seems strange for a mystery story, but knowing the ending really doesn't spoil it at all, because there is so much going on.

Oh yes! The whole book is really a discussion of women's place in society and basically every discussion is about that- even the culprit is all about that. :)
