Kid and I are watching Grimm. I had forgotten how sinister Captain Renard was in the beginning. He not only know, but condones, Adelind's atempts to kill Nick's aunt. He has a man killed, and not in a nice way eirher- he is literally torn to pieces. Now this Renard I have no problems at all with going over to Black Claw. Well, he was always a very uncertain ally to Nick, but I think the show should have kept a bit more of this darker Renard, to make it more believable.

I'm pretty jaded, so when something makes me go "WOW" it's a big deal. Last season - WOW!!!

Going to be interesting how the Nick&Renard, splinter, and Black Claw jazz gets played out. This is the final season for the series, so I hope things get wrapped up way better than they did in Penny Dreadful (in my opinion, it should have had a few more episodes).

Yes, I hope it will be a good wrap. Plot-wise Grimm has been uneven, but I love the various friendships between the characters. And Nick and Renard who hasn’t been friends, but up until last season held a mutual respect for each other. And I really, really hope they won’t solve the Nick/Adelind/Juliette triangle with either someone getting evil again (yawn), or someone nobly sacrificing themselves.

I wish they had kept the darker version. He would have been Black Claw in a minute - and still keeping Nick in the dark in every way possible!

*HUGS*

Yes, I think so. But I wonder, it might be we have percieved him as a nicer person just because his father's family are so plain horrible- especially towards him. But you don't automatically becomes nice just because someone is meaner. I shall continue my rewatch and take special not how Renard actually behave. :)
