Night On Fic Mountain letter

I hope you will find this letter useful. Here are some general likes and dislikes. I’m fine with any rating. My default choice are either gen or het, but there are some variation for specific fandoms. Please note that I have requested the characters I want in a fic, but you are free to include any additional character you like, unless I have clearly stated it’s a character I don’t want.
I like: Missing scenes, epilogues and AU’s which explores alternate timelines. Bittersweet romances. Introspection fics. Funny fics where the character banter or snark at each other. I also enjoy angst and darkfics. I have more OT3s than OTPs, but unless you go the darkfic route, I want the relationships to be equal, or possibly two persons who worship a third. Also, I love fashion history and I love it when clothes are correctly described. I definitely have a costume kink.
I don’t want darkfics when it comes to Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, but it’s fine for my other requested fandoms. Then I’m happy with mind control, manipulation, non-con, dub-con, psychological sadism and BDSM (well, BDSM doesn’t have to be dark, and I’m fine with it in any setting). I do like a proper grounding for them, though, not just thrown in for the sensation. I also like when the personal consequences from traumatic experiences are explored. Minor violence is ok. I’m fine with both happy and unhappy endings. I generally lean toward psychological darkness rather than physical violence, though I’m fine with that too, if it’s not too gory.
I don’t like: Character bashing, or character’s suddenly changing personalities. A good character may go darker or an evil one nicer, but then I like to have a good psychological reason for that change. Modern AU’s. A/B/O.
I’m totally squicked by: Amputation, body horror, cannibalism blood play, wet, scat, child abuse, medical experimentation, torture, incest, animal abuse, mpreg and too gory violence.
Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency
Characters: Amanda Brotzman, The Rowdy 3
I loved Amanda’s relation with The Rowdy 3, and I would love to see them interact. Both gen and ship-fic is fine, though I must confess to a hankering after Amanda/The Rowdy 3 with some rough, enthusiastic and consensual sex.
Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell
Characters: John Childermass, John Segundus, Lady Emma Pole, Arabella Strange, The Man With the Thistle-down Hair
A fascinating multi-level book with so many interesting characters. I also hugely enjoyed the TV-series for its casting and settings, if not always how they handled the story. There is no need to include all my requested characters.
I’m intrigued by John Childermass, and I’d love a fic where he interacts with the other requested (living) characters after the end of the book/series. I also mildly ship him with Arabella and Lady Pole, but Childermas/LadyPool/John Segundus is one of my OT3.
I would also like to see more of what happens to Lady Pole, Arabella when they are under The Man With the Thistledown Hair’s spell. I imagine he would play all sort of games with them, completely oblivious to how the humans feels about it. If you want to include Stephen, then I wouldn’t mind at all.
The Mummy series
Pairings: Ardeth Bey/Evy Carnahan O'Connell, Ardeth Bey/Rick O'Connell/Evy Carnahan O'Connell
I love Ardeth/Rick/Evy, and I would be very happy with a fic about them. I have absolutely nothing against Rick/Evy, I just don’t need fic about them. I do, however, enjoy Ardeth/Evy a lot.
Versailles
Characters: Fabien Marchal, Claudine Masson, Sophie de Clermont, Béatrice de Clermont
I fell in love with this show last year, much to my own surprise. The 17th century is one of my favourite historical periods, as well when it came to the fashion, so I was prepared to be annoyed by factual errors. But even if the writing plays fast and loose with what really happened occasionally, I really enjoyed the show. I’m drawn to character with ambiguous moral, straddling the line between good and bad, so it’s not surprising Fabien Marchal quickly became my favourite. Again, there is no need to include all the requested characters, but I would prefer if Fabien is included. I’m happy with fics which ships him with any of the mentioned ladies, but I wouldn’t mind gen fic either.
