Fandom meme, part 1

scripsiI’m pretty sure I have done this meme before- or one similar to it. But it’s a good way to keep my thought occupied tonight, so here it is; the first 20 questions of it.
1. What was the first fandom you got involved in?
Peter Pan, back in 2004.
2. What is your latest fandom?
The last new fandom I wrote in was Ivanhoe, but the last fandom I’ve been really involved in is Versailles.
3. What is the best fandom you’ve ever been involved in?
Doctor Who. I’ve heard there are some bad corners in it, but I have never encountered them.
4. Do you regret getting involved in any fandoms?
No. as a whole my fandom experiences have been very positive.
5. Which fandoms have your written fanfiction for?

6. List your OTP from each fandom you’ve been involved in.
If you define an OTP as truly the one true pairing- then I don’t have any at all. I do have several preferred pairings, though. But not in every fandom I have written in- both read and write gen and don’t feel the need to pair of everyone romantically.
Doctor Who: It’s a bit hard to not ship the Doctor and the MasterIMissy, but I’ve never written that explicitly. But it’s pretty much the subtext in everything I’ve written with both of them. And it is definitely the subtext in everything I have written which pairs of the Master with someone else. I very much enjoy the MasterIMissy/River Song

I don’t have any. Sure, I have pairings I’m not interested in, but none I actively dislike.
8. How did you get involved in your latest fandom?
Watched the show, felt the urge to write. I’m actually not that involved beyond that. Versailles is a rather small fandom, and about 95 percent of what fandom activity there is, is all about Philippe/Chevalier. Which is a pairing I enjoy in the actual show, but have zero interest in reading and writing about.
9. What are the best things about your current fandom?
Probably that it inspires me to write.
10. Is there a fandom you read fic from but don’t write in?
Several. There are many books/shows/movies I love even if I don’t feel the need/have the skills to write in them. The most notable ones are probably Deadwood and The Vorkosigan Saga

I currently write Fabien Marchal/Sophie de Clermont and John Childermass/Lady pole.
12. Who is your current OT3?
Ardeth Bay/Evy Carnahan/Rick O’Connell from the Mummy.

14. Go on, who are your BroTPs?
The Doctor and his companions. Vanessa Ives and her friendships with Victor Frankenstein, the Creature and Sembene.
15. Is there an obscure ship which you love?
Well, as I have a tendency to ship characters who isn’t a couple in canon; most of my ships.
16. Are there any popular ships in your fandom which you dislike?
No. Only popular ships I’m not the slightest bit interested in.
17. Who was your first OTP and are they still your favourite?
Brian de Bois-Guilbert/Rebecca of York in Ivanhoe. I was five when I saw the 50’s movie with George Sander and Elizabeth Taylor in those roles. It started my ongoing infatuation with George Sanders, as well as with Ivanhoe as story. But my favourite Ivanhoe-version is the 90’s mini-series with Ciaran Hinds and Susan Lynch. And yes, i still ship them.
18. What ship have you written the most about?
Probably Captain Hook/Wendy Darling, but as several of those fics are pulled from AO3 I’m not sure. But on AO3 it is the MasterIMissy/River Song
19. Is there a ship which you wished you could get behind, but you just don’t feel them?
Not really. It would be nice to fall for something popular as there would be more fics, but I know what I like and I don’t need that to be popular.
