This prompt may seem pretty self-explanatory, and it may well be, but please consider the following when collecting fanworks to share with us all:
1. Fanworks in this context can mean anything a fan has spent time creating for their beloved fandoms (.gifs and amv’s and cosplay and that tile you painted in your apartment bathroom to look like that fannish thing … don’t let traditional views of what constitutes a fanwork limit you here).
2. You do not need to be a content creator to share fanworks. I’ve seen it mentioned in various places that some people don’t feel as much a part of fandom as those who create content, but fandom exists for ALL fans. Many of us are here to enjoy and spread love and this is your time to shine. We want to see what you’ve found over the years!
3. That said, if you are a creator, then also consider taking this opportunity to self-promote. It can feel awkward for many of us to share our own fanworks and shine lights on them, and if you are one of those folks, please consider this your nudge to step on the podium and be proud of the works you’ve labored over.
My fandom consumption is mainly fanfic, so here are some of my perpetual favourites.
Why I rec this fic: I don’t read many crossovers, but this one I adore. It’s very funny and with a satisfying little twist at the end.

Summary: Queen Elizabeth I is marrying a Mr William Shakespeare (no relation) and there's a mysterious blue box in the alley outside Mrs Miggins' pie shop; Edmund Blackadder is on the case.
Why I rec this fic: I love Blazing Saddles since I first saw it as a child, and even as a child I very strongly felt Sheriff Bart and Jim belonged together. And this fic is such a sweet and lovely take on that.

Why I rec this fic: Al and Alma are two of my favourite characters in Deadwood, and though they share very few scenes, they have an excellent chemistry together. There are a few, all good, fanfics pairing them; an excellent example of what fic can do for you when canon won’t go there.

Why I rec this fic: Chin Lee is a minor character in “The Mind of Evil”, where she is mind-controlled by the Master only to abruptly disappear. This chilling little story is how she came into the Master’s sway to begin with. And likening the Master with a dragon is very well done.

Summary: A Mr. Emil Keller arrives in Beijing, and for Chin Lee, nothing is the same as it was before.
Why I rec this fic: This is a very funny fic and it always puts me in a good mood. The sheer absurdity of an elephant in a TARDIS and the Master being completely unsuccessful to get rid of it makes me laugh.

Why I rec this fic: This is a Doctor Who AU and it’s very dark. It’s set in the alternate world the Third Doctor visits in Inferno, and in this world, the UK is a dictatorship, the Doctor imprisoned and forced to work for the government, and Jo Grant is a prisoner too, sentenced to be his assistant. But despite this, the Doctor and Jo are very much themselves, and it's a very interesting story. I can highly recommend the story it prequels, Two Birds in a Cage, too, where Sarah Jane takes Jo’s place. It is, however, even darker, so you may want to proceed with caution. It’s also a WIP and hasn’t been updated in years, so you may find yourself in the same frustrated place as I, who eagerly hope there will be more.

Summary: Evelyn wants to discover the fabled hieroglyphs in the crumbling temple of a god of sexual pleasure. Rick and Ardeth go along to keep her out of trouble. (It doesn't work.)
Self-promoting is pretty scary, but at the same time, there are stories I’m proud over, for one reason or the other. So here are a couple of stories I was unusually satisfied with when I finished them. On the whole, I think I’m much better at writing emotions than plotting, which is why most of my fics are fairly short.
Why I rec this fic: I write very little slash, in large part because I don’t feel I’m very good at it. But this story I think turned oy pretty decent.

Why I rec this fic: I love Sarah Jane, and back when I first saw Doctor Who and I always thought she and Ainley!Master would bounce off each other in an interesting way. It was enormously satisfying writing this fic, and I also got around to come up with an expålanation to how the Master stopped being a cheetah. This is not a shipfic, but Doctor/Master is definitely an undercurrent.

Summary: A story where Sarah Jane goes to Perivale in the wake of Survival gets an unwelcome guest and has some unscheduled time travels.
Why I rec this fic: Original characters; check. Focusing on the villain, not the hero; check. Including a number of sad and potentially trigger warnings; check. I could have made it easier for me. It’s also the fic I have worked on the most, even going so far as to completely rewrite it. It isn’t a happy story, but I think I did a fairly good job at the horror bits. It’s a story of what the Master does to amuse himself, and what might happen to the people who the Doctor doesn’t get to save. (If you want the Doctor, Sarah Jane, and the Brig, then it’s only fair to warn you they only appear in the last chapter.)

Summary: Alison and Peter Grey are living a charmed life, young, wealthy and in love. Until they meet a Professor Keller and find themselves trapped in a spiraling nightmare. Set between Terror of the Autons and The Mind of Evil.
Why I rec this fic: One of the strongest themes in my fics are protagonists who save themselves. I like Lady Pole, and I imagine she, in addition to not liking magic much after being in magical bondage, she would really like to have her own autonomy. She wouldn’t want to be saved again. So she saves herself in this fic, albeit with some backing. It’s a bit of a love-story too, but that isn’t the main point of this fic. Also, it was a lot of fun having Emma and Childermass snark each other, and incorporating some fairy tale elements.

Why I rec this fic: some fics gets closer to my original vision, other turns out to be very different. This one turned out almost exactly as I wanted it. Also, it always makes me crave freshly made sponge cake.
