Day 10
In your own space, post a rec for fannish and/or creative resources and spaces. Tell us where you go to dig up canon facts for your fandom, or where you get all the juicy details about your favorite ship. Where do you like to hang out and squee like a squeeing thing? Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

I usually check Wikipedia when I do my research. I know it isn’t reliable, but as a starting point it works well. It all depends on what I’m trying to find too. A tool I use a lot more is ProWritingAid . I’m not a native speaker of English and I spend a lot of time trying to catch my mistakes. The site isn’t perfect, by far and I know I make mistakes that it doesn’t catch, but it’s still a useful tool.

My squeeing is done on Livejournal/Dreamwidth. :)

Google is my friend. For the most things and quick info I use google. Of course you then have to take a closer look at the source it gives to you but it mostly works fine for me.

Google is excelletn- butI find it usually dumps me in Wikipedia. :) For just fanfic facts, then you usually don't have to dig sources, but I've had a few discussion with my kid about the importance of trustworthy sources! :)

Tell me about it! I studied literature and I know about sources. But honestly... when university students start to give Wikipedia as one of their sources, I give up.

For everyday life it's totally fine though:)

I studied Literature as well. :9 And I'm a bit of a source hound when it comes to my other main interest; costume history. there are so uch bad info around, especially if we come nto the territory of corsets. :)

I have absolutely no idea about corsets but if I need some info I'll go to you:) The only thing corsets I know is the thing I learnt on RuPaul's DragRace and then there's the one really, really awesome corset I saw on a Trek Convention last year with fabric from TOS. I bet it was selfmade. But still pretty great!

Yes, I've seen some pretty nifty fandom corsets. Like a TARDIS once. :)
