Music Monday- Yuletide edition
Nov. 25th, 2019 02:32 pmJul is the Swedish word for Christmas, but is, of course, the same word, albeit with a different spelling, as Yule. It's a season I enjoy, especially as I refuse to stress out and only do the things I really enjoy. Which means lots of baking, making "'glögg", having a tree (sadly, not a real one due to allergies), and listen to music. So I will amuse myself by sharing a few of my favourites the upcoming Mondays.
The Danish rock band Gasolin's version of Dejelig et jorden (Wonderful Is the Earth), which I'm unsure is sung in English but is very popular in Sweden too.
Which are your favourites?

Date: 2019-12-05 05:41 pm (UTC)If you or anyone enjoy doing introspection and knowing themselves, I recommend sitting down while listening to your favorite songs and thinking "Where does my interest in music like this comes from?"
Even more interesting with tge not so obvious ones. Songs that at first you think "my parents or siblings don't like this sort of thing, not even my old friends are into this, this is all my taste, original from within myself"
Explore it, question it, go deeper, and you might detect traces of many influences from your past.
