I'm Dancingsalome on AO3
I have a few hard prompts- basically, I just want MOAR of the characters I love, and if you just steer clear of my DNWs, you can’t go wrong. Feel free to add any characters you want, unless I haven’t stated explicitly that I don’t want them.
Ratings: I’m happy with any rating from All ages to Explicit.
I like: Missing scenes, epilogues and AU’s which explores alternate timelines. Bittersweet romances. Introspection fics. Funny fics where the characters banter or snark at each other. I adore historical costumes being described in a period-correct way.
If you want to write a more explicit fic, then I enjoy BDSM with enthusiastic consent and I really enjoy the following tropes: Bondage, Dominance/submission where the man is dominant and the female submissive, Rough sex, Spanking. I do, however, also enjoy sweet and fluffy sex scenes as well.
I enjoy angst and darkfic a lot. If you want to go that route I’d love the inclusion of the BDSM tropes above, but also these: Be Careful What You Wish For, Break the Cutie, Dub-con, Choking, Emotional Manipulation, Fuck Or Die, Hate Sex, Non-con, Obsession, Power Imbalance, Unwanted threesome. I’m fine with both happy and unhappy endings.

This is one of my all-time favorite movies and one I wish there was more of a fandom for. I’m a fan of George Sanders and the kind of polite villains he excelled in, of which Addison DeWitt is surely the best. But I find most of the characters in this movie interesting. I like that even the “good” characters have flaws, and there are some interesting themes about ambition, desire, and in which role a woman is happiest. It also has a surprisingly dark end, even if it isn’t glaringly obvious. Even those who seem to win have lost something, and the only character who gets exactly what he wants is Addison DeWitt who is also the most villainous.
For this fandom, I’m happy with both gen and ship-fic. I’d love something which follows up the characters after the end of the movie, and I’d like both an ensemble piece as well as something focusing on just one or two characters. But I ain’t gonna lie- I would like a fic with Addison DeWitt in it a lot.
I know both Addison and Eve are often described as homosexual, and on that, I half agree. I think Eve is primarily attracted to women, and there are very strong implications to that in the movie. And though I haven’t asked for Eve being paired up with a woman I certainly wouldn’ mind if that was included in a fic. When it comes to Addison the idea he is gay seems to come from his English accent and his cigarette holder. What he is is a predator and what really turns him on is power over others. I would really like a fic about his and Eve’s relationship. As you can see I also asked for Addison/Karen. There’s really no ground for that in the movie, but I would still enjoy Addison manipulating her into something she really doesn’t want.

I love this movie, and the three main characters have a very twisted relationship with each other. When I saw it nominated for this exchange I re-watched it for the first time in years, and then I knew I had to request it. What is it which makes Gilda afraid of Ballin? She doesn’t really seem scared until after the night she “goes bathing”. What happens after Johnny leaves? Or, for that matter, what happens when they first met? Does Gilda say yes to Ballin’s proposal because she realises Johnny is employed by him? Is it really a surprise to Ballin that Gilda and Johnny know each other? I’d also like an AU ending where Ballin returns and Uncle Pio isn’t there to stop him. What happens then? Ballin does seem to be equally obsessed with both Gilda and Johnny.
Ivanhoe
Brian de Bois-Guilbert/Rebecca of York
When I was five I saw this movie of Ivanhoe with George Sanders and Elizabeth Taylor as Bois-Guilbert and Rebecca, and it must have been my first ever OTP. It also made me a life-long fan of George Sanders. I admit, the plot is silly and the historical accuracy is very cursory. The original book reflects the early 19th century views on women and Jewish people. It’s romantic and contrived and I still love it. To be fair, it’s not Ivanhoe himself who interests me; I've always found him very boring. It’s Rebecca of York I love, with her intelligence, kindness, and courage, and it’s not her falling in love with Ivanhoe which interests me, but how the knight Bois-Guilbert falls in love with her. He begins with seeing her as a disposable plaything, then falls in love, albeit a very selfish love, and then, at the end changes again and loves her unconditionally.
I would love a missing scene between Rebecca and Bois-Guilbert, but I would also enjoy an AU where he doesn’t die, and he and Rebecca eventually meet again.
The Mummy series

I particularly love the first movie in this series, with its mixture of fun and adventure, but also some rather scary stuff too. Also, every one of the main characters are ridiculously attractive. So I would be equally happy with a fic that focuses on fun adventurous aspects, or a darker one.
Rick/Evy/Ardeth is one of my favourite OT3 ever, and I would be very happy if you wrote that. I would also enjoy a fic where Evy and Ardeth explore a relationship. I have absolutely nothing against the canonical Rick/Evy, in fact, I love them together in the movies, but I’m not particularly interested in a story that focuses on this pairing. Imhotep/Evy and Imhotep/Evy/Ardeth are darker pairings for me. One of the reasons I like Imhotep is because he has more nuance than many villains, so I don’t necessarily want pitch-black ´darkfics. I would prefer it if he stayed in the villain territory, though.
I would very much like missing scenes from the first movie, but the second works too, or go the AU route. Feel free to ignore the third movie- I know I do.
