My year in fanfic

My fanfic year starts the last day of November, so December always sees my year of fanfic. In the last year, I have published, or continued only 3 fanfics, from two fandoms- and 2 of those are still WIP’s. This is my least productive writing year since 2014. Though my two WIP's are both multi-chapters.

The fics are:

All About Eve:

Sable Coats and Razorblades (Addison DeWitt/Karen Richards, Addison DeWitt/Eve Harrington) WIP

Margo (Margo Channing & Eve Harrington)

The Mummy:

The Might of His Strength (Evy Carnahan O’Connell/Imhotep, Evy Carnahan O’Connell/Rick O’Connell, Evy Carnahan O'Connell, Ardeth Bay/Imhotep) WIP

The Might of His Strength has, to no surprise at all, the most hits, kudos and comments. It’s actually my most popular fic ever, which, I suppose, says something of the enduring appeal of The Mummy.

I only did one fic exchange; Limited Theatrical Release, which I wrote Margo for.

I’m not making any fixed plans for next year. I hope I will be able to do more exchanges as I really like doing them. I’ll continue to work on this year’s WIPs and I’ll hopefully be able to finish them. I also hope I’ll be able to finish the four treats I have partly written for this year’s Yuletide. I have an idea for another Mummy fic but i won’t begin it until the current one is finished. And, still, I have a couple of old WIPs I really should do something about. I also, still, like to re-write my two Dracula.fics as I still have an unwritten idea for a third and concluding fic.

Let’s hope for a more productive year in 2021!

I loooooooooove your All About Eve fics. I especially want to single out the part about the perfume, I like that a lot. There was something similar in one of my House fics where House identified a woman character when he had his eyes closed and she didn't say anything because she smelled like almond and violets and he said he knew it wasn't Cuddy because she wore Chanel and it wasn't Cameron because, in his words, "[she] likes that baby powdery crap".
