2. Why do you write fanfiction?

Though I wasn’t consciously aware of it at the time, I started to write fanfic to deal with some issues I had actually suppressed and to work through a few things about my sexuality. To my surprise writing, fanfic was a huge help, and I’m certain it had a large part in finally getting over a depression that had plagued me for several years. After that, I didn’t write much for several years, but then a family tragedy made me start writing rather feverishly again. So I definitely started writing to work out issues. But somewhere I got into the habit of writing, and nowadays I mainly write because I find it a very satisfying activity.

All the questions.

I usually wrote it because I had very specific ideas of what I wanted to see happen on a show and I used to be really good at the process of getting the ideas from my brain to a written form.

I love how you use writing to work out issues and heal from things that are nigh insurmountable. Makes me admire you and your resilience that much more.
