6. What element of writing do you find comes easily? and 7. What element of writing do you struggle with most?

I’m good at writing emotions. I also find it hassle-free to write milieus and clothes. Dialogue also usually flows easily. Family enough I find it harder to describe what people actually look like; it seems that it’s so easy to veer into purple prose then. I can also struggle a bit to insert actions and emotions to break up long monologues a little. Endings can also be a bit tricky too. Sex scenes are both easy and not easy. I have a number of expressions I find a distinct turn-off (for me), like “clit”, and other more commonly used words. It can be difficult at times to use other words without making it sound stilted. But people seem to really like my sex scenes, so I guess I do it right somehow.

Maybe I should hire you as clothing consultant for my next book. ;-) I'm interested in historical fashion from a spectator's point of view, but as I've not done costuming myself (beyond some steampunk, which allowed for imperfection from the historical standpoint), I don't really know what it's like to move and etc. in the clothes.

I think if I ever make a decent amount from book sales (I made $500 pretty much on my first book), I might invest in a couple of sets of clothing of the time period, so at least I can better picture things for my heroine/narrator.

It is hard to describe people, but a lot of writers I like use very brief descriptions and I manage to come up with mental pictures of them so I wouldn't worry too much.

I suffer from my characters just yakking on and not doing anything!

Your descriptions and emotional flow always grab me - and I love your dialogue! So 100% all of this...though I still think you are pretty good with family dynamic as well, honestly.

*HUGS*
