End of April, and my yearly AO3-meme

I currently have 119 fics on AO3 divided between 23 fandoms.

Mostly fics have only re-arranged themselves, but last year’s #10; A Nighttime Visit has disappeared to give place for my new #1; The Might of His Strength. I’m not surprised, I predicted last year that this was the fic coming in strong. The Mummy-fics are always popular, and all three of mine are here. I’m always a bit surprised that Peter Pan-fics do so well, and I’m super surprised the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory comes this high. There not much fandom for it, after all, and A Matter of Choice isn’t exactly your nice and cozy fic.

Two fics fell off; Come Here Puppy and A Bewildered Heart. To no surprise, The Might of His Strength muscled it on #2, and Black King is a new and shiny fandom. As always I’m not surprised The Mummy-fics do well, and most surprised that a Peter Pan-fic also does it.


Top ten with kudos split with hits
This is my favourite part. Some fics get few hits, mostly because they are in small fandoms and/or are gen fics, but they got a very high ratio of kudos. So just for fun I also split hits with kudos. It’s still not completely fair as multi-chapters can be hit by the same person several times, but they can only give kudos once.

The Might of His Strength climbed from 10+ comments last year to 61, which is pretty staggering for being one of my fics. As you can see it’s a huge difference between that ne and the next. The Black King is new, and Nothing Interesting Ever Happens in Perivale disappeared. Worth noting is that they all are multi-chapters apart from #10, who gets into the list despite being an one-shot.

This is the Top 10 with the most changes! Four fics; Dudley’s Cousin, Not A Memory , 9. Come Here Puppy and But A Dream didn’t make it. As always I’m a little surprised that the peter Pan-fic gets so many bookmarks- especially as they don’t generate comments. The Might of His Strength and my three first The Queen’s Gambit-fics replaced them. I’m not surprised over the first, but I’m rather pleased that my very last fics are doing so very well. Either I’m improving as a writer, or, more likely, I’ve managed to catch a fandom that is actually popular at the moment.
