I can’t say that there is any movie I hate. If I don’t like something I simply stop watching it. I don’t much care for certain kind of movies, and avoid explicit violence and gore. As a rule I don’t enjoy horror movies (funnily enough as I like reading horror). The last movie I didn’t like that I still saw the whole of was Dagon a movie adaptation of Lovecraft’s The Shadow Over Innsmouth. Too much rape, too much blood and a general disregard of the source material.

I had a hard time thinking of one when I tried just now because, like you, I generally stop watching. Then I glanced at our shelf of DVDs-- A Fish Called Wanda. My husband adores it and made me watch it. I loathed it.

I strongly disliked The Abyss (which I saw in the theater), but that was because I'm phobic of underwater stuff, and well... That was all there was there. The friends who dragged me to see it hadn't realized that I had a phobia of that sort, and I'd never heard of the movie and so didn't think to veto it.
