This is me melting because Ian McShane have been cast as Mr. Wednesday in Gaiman's American Gods. It's terrifying having one of your favourite books adaptet, but so far the casting has been solid.

Me too! I really don't like Westerns, but Deadwood is the big deviation. It's one of my all time favourites. And Ian McShane has a lot to do with that! :)

I approve of the casting wholeheartedly. I loved that they announced on Wednesday too. I look forward to adoptation. I feel they care about the material greatly.

I think so too! Neil Gaiman seems to retain a lot of influences over adaptions of his works, which I Think bodes well. I know he vetoed against an adaption of Anasi Boys because they wanted to make the cast white.

I only think they have cast Shadow apart from Mr. Wednesday; Ricky Whittle. I haven't seen him in anything, but he looks a lot like I have imagined Shadow. :)
